When it came to the creation of the playspace for this childcare centre, we were once again able to play to our strengths as the Client brief encouraged us to design to engage curiousity and encourage adventure amongst the natural and outdoor environment. We utilised different textures, strategic positioning of planters, fixed furniture and moveable play items, as well as a planting plan which included a productive garden to provide a stimulating, sensory experience for the children using the space. Much of the playspace was built over an udnerground carpark, which added to the complexity.
