Springs Children's and Community Centre

Project Description

This is another project where Botanical Traditions needed to connect the smaller components of a larger community area, through landscape design. This community site features a large community room, services to support parents and children in their early years, and a number of smaller meeting rooms. As well as implementing features always popular with children such as a sandpit and cubby house, elements to encourage interaction with the natural environment and participation in learning about the world around them were also added. Such items included vegetable gardens, a worm farm and orchard. Providing sensory experiences was incorporated through a variety of surface textures and ground levels, and moveable storage items were also brought in, not only to for storage but also to position as needed to change the space layout as required
